Held under the main theme
of "Mining and Environment", the Congress is taking place between April 14-18,
2025 at the MTA General Directorate Cultural Center in Ankara.
On the first day of the
congress: Prof. Dr. Atiye TUĞRUL, CRIRSCO Turkey Representative and former
UMREK member, delivered a presentation on "Mining and Environment"; Jale
SAKIYAN ATES, UMREK member, presented on "The UMREK Code - Environmental,
Social, and Governance (ESG) Factors" and Ahmet Yasar YAMANTAS, from the UMREK
Coordinatorship, shared insights on "the Relationship Between CRIRSCO and UNFC
Resource and Reserve Classifications".
We sincerely thank the
TMMOB Chamber of Geological Engineers and MTA General Directorate, everyone
involved in the organization, and all members of the geoscience community who
participated to the Congress.
