On March 27, 2025, the "Mining Reporting and Valuation Codes in Our Country and Around the World" Conference was successfully held at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Avcılar Campus.
Organized in collaboration between the UMREK Education and Certification Working Group and the Department of Geological Engineering at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, the event addressed key topics for the mining sector, including UMREK and international mining reporting standards, the UMVAL Code, sustainability assessments, and ethical principles.
The opening speeches were delivered by Prof. Dr. Mehmet BİLGİN, Vice Rector of Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa; Prof. Dr. İsmail İNCİ, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Dr. Atiye TUĞRUL, Faculty Member of the Department of Applied Geology and former UMREK Commission Member; and Mr. Arslan NARİN, General Director of Mining and Petroleum Affairs and UMREK President.
